Join the Young Professionals Council for an in-person YPC 'Meet the C-Suite' forum, part of a series where young professionals have the opportunity to interact with regional CEOs, Founders, and C-suite executives in an exclusive setting to learn how they became successful leaders. This month’s program features Angela Val, President & CEO of Visit Philadelphia.

Recently named the best U.S. city to visit in 2024, Philadelphia offers a swath of leisure experiences, from James Beard Award-winning restaurants to cultural institutions to globally recognized cultural amenities. Leading the charge in marketing this world-class city for tourism is Angela Val. As President & CEO of Visit Philadelphia, Angela Val is charged with building Greater Philadelphia’s image, driving visitation, and boosting our economy through day and overnight leisure visitation.

The tourism marketing agency’s work supports local businesses, creates jobs, generates taxes, and ultimately enhances residents’ quality of life. A recognized trailblazer within Philadelphia’s tourism and hospitality industry, Val brings more than two decades of destination-marketing experience to her role, which she assumed in June 2022. Prior to that, she served as the Chief Administrative Officer at the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Philadelphia DNC Host Committee, and spent 16 years rising through the ranks at Visit Philadelphia.
