Four New Companies Join Science Center Port Business Incubator

The University City Science Center started off the new year by welcoming four new companies into its Port Business Incubator in Philadelphia, PA. Three of the four companies, Immunocore, Kwelia and MedCity Media have taken desk space in the Bullpen, the Port’s newest co-working space, which opened in November 2011. Pharmaceutical Press is occupying office space in the Port’s Hubert J. P. Schoemaker Lab at 3624 Market Street.

The Bullpen isn’t just for relief pitchers anymore. The University City Science Center’s Port Business Incubator has opened a new co-working office space for emerging startup companies called the Bullpen. The new space, which offers entrepreneurs a desk, phone and high speed Wi-Fi, is located on the Science Center campus at 3711 Market Street in Philadelphia. Belgium-based Biologistics Consulting is the first company to call the Bullpen home.

Dr. J. Larry Jameson Joins University City Science Center Board of Directors

J. Larry Jameson, M.D., Ph.D. has been elected to the Board of Directors of the University City Science Center. Jameson is the executive vice president of the University of Pennsylvania for the Health System and dean of Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine, where he is responsible for the oversight and strategic management of all of Penn Medicine’s academic programs, research activities and clinical services.
NFTE Philadelphia Joins Quorum Strategic Partner alliance: Increases Opportunities for Young Entrepreneurs
