How is it that multiple people can hear the same words yet receive a very different message? What’s more, does the clarity of that message depend more on the sender’s ability to convey, or the receiver’s ability to discern? Truth be told, effective communication can be quite challenging, especially in the workplace, where people from different backgrounds and mindsets collaborate daily. Building good listening habits is essential for creating a trusting workplace culture, alleviating misunderstandings, and solving complex problems. In this session, complementing our September workshop on communication, we will explore listening as a critical tool and learn to become better colleagues in any situation.

Join the Young Professionals Council for an interactive professional development experience with Dale Carnegie designed to uncover how listening can help you build trusting relationships and communicate more effectively as a leader.
