Before the COVID-19 crisis, Greater Philadelphia saw an increasing demand in modern mobility as a central hub for transportation. Home to the nation’s 3rd busiest Amtrak station, an international airport which exceeded 32 million passengers last year, and roadways and bridges that typically see more than 37.4 million vehicles a year, the once bustling sectors of the transportation industry have come to a halt due to the stay-at-home orders. As the economy begins to reopen under strict guidelines, the transportation industry must adapt to ensure the safe passage of travelers.
As a virtual series, Region on the Rise brings together top officials from our region’s transportation systems and influential lawmakers for an insightful discussion about the impact of COVID-19 and the future of the transportation industry.

Region 3 Administrator, Federal Transit Administration
Terry Garcia Crews joined the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in February of 2015 as the Regional Administrator. She and her team oversee the Federal funding for Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Ms. Garcia Crews guides 28 professionals in two offices, Philadelphia and Washington, DC, who provide grant development and program management support to our community partners.
General Manager, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority
Leslie Richards is the 11th General Manager of Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). Prior to being named General Manager, Richards served as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. She previously served as the vice chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, and before being elected Commissioner, was chair of the Whitemarsh Township Board of Supervisors.

Photo Policy:
Your registration constitutes permission to use photos, audio, and video recording taken of you at the event for promotional purposes in connection with the Chamber and its Councils.
Registration/Cancellation Policy:
Pre-registration is necessary and payment is required upon registration. Walk-ins are not guaranteed entrance. No refunds will be given one week prior to program/event. Substitutions may be made with at least 24-hour notice.
Ticket/Seating Policy:
Tickets are held at the door under company name. Reserved seating for tables purchases only.
