Briefing on SEPTA’s Service Reduction Plan and Impact

Wednesday, April 23, 2025
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

The Chamber is sounding the alarm on an impending economic emergency: inadequate transit funding in Pennsylvania.

Join us for a virtual briefing on Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority’s (SEPTA) $213 million budget deficit and its impact on the economic health of Greater Philadelphia. Hear from SEPTA Interim General Manager Scott Sauer, who will detail the drastic fare increase and service reduction implementation across all transit modes, and representatives from Econsult Solutions, Inc. who will provide an economic impact analysis of this potential crisis.

Attendees will also learn how to join the Chamber’s advocacy efforts to avert plan implementation and tell Pennsylvania lawmakers to take action to avoid SEPTA service cuts and fare increases.
