Employing Young People and Building a New Workforce: A Conversation with UCLA Center for the Developing Adolescent

Thursday, September 12, 2024
8:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Imagine a Philadelphia where our young Philadelphians are welcomed and supported in ways that meet their developmental needs. Adolescence—approximately ages 10 to 25—is a dynamic period of biological, cognitive, and social changes that make youth and young adults especially sensitive to certain types of learning and experiences, creating opportunities to influence lifetime wellbeing and strengthen communities.

Join us for a scientist-led briefing in which the UCLA Center for the Developing Adolescent will discuss this rapid period of growth, the social systems that intersect and impact adolescence, and opportunities to equitably support the developmental needs of our young people. This training was made possible thanks to a partnership between the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, Spring Point Partners, the Philadelphia Department of Commerce, and several Philadelphia philanthropies.

The training will be capped at 75 people, so we encourage people to register soon.
