How diversity, equity, and inclusion are defined and the dialogue surrounding them influences the standard by which we measure DEI success. The ever-changing landscape of DEI is shifting once again—many believe backward—as some organizations debate completely excluding equity from their DEI initiatives and titles or replacing it with broader definitions. While there are varying definitions of equity, it constitutes more than just equality–equity exists to tackle systemic obstacles and ensure that resources and opportunities are distributed with consideration of individual needs and circumstances. As the value of equity continues to be challenged, businesses must reaffirm its importance in the workplace and identify what equity means for their company.
Join us for a virtual forum with regional DEI leaders centering equity as a fundamental element of fostering truly inclusive and supportive workplaces. Leaders will give insight into how they are navigating the evolving DEI space with equity-driven approaches. Examine how equity is key to addressing systematic disparities now while also setting the course for long-term business success. Attendees will also walk away with a deeper appreciation for how the Chamber’s inclusive growth initiatives create equitable opportunities for our Chamber members.
