Join YPC at City Winery for the return of its “Unplugged” event with Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker. The mayor will have a candid discussion with members of YPC about the state of Philadelphia and what YPC members and the business community can do to become more engaged in improving the city. The conversation will include a dialogue on the factors that attract young professionals to live, work, raise their families, and succeed in the city. Bring plenty of business cards and be prepared to expand your professional network, and engage with fellow young professionals in the region!
On January 2, 2024, Cherelle Parker was inaugurated as the 100th mayor of Philadelphia, making history as the first woman to hold the office since its inception. Mayor Parker is a former public school teacher, a state legislator who headed the Philadelphia delegation, and member of Philadelphia City Council, where she represented the 9th District and rose to become majority leader. Her popular “One Philly” mantra is a call for unification and a reminder that we must all work together to improve our city as we realize her vision of making Philadelphia the “safest, cleanest, greenest big city in the nation.”
