Preventx Finds a U.S. Business – and Cultural – Home in Greater Philadelphia

Preventx, a U.K.-based provider of at-home sexual health testing, has found a home in Greater Philadelphia, citing the proximity to key markets and the depth and richness of the region’s healthcare ecosystem as major factors for the location decision.

Thema, a CompLife Italia Group company, is a medical device consultancy located in Northern Italy. A visit to Philadelphia in November 2023 by a four-person delegation led by Thema Founder and CEO Marisa Testa resulted in the company’s first U.S. expansion.

Comcast Spectacor wants to reimagine part of the South Philadelphia sports complex into a year-round destination for work and play, featuring new retail stores, restaurants, a music venue, and a hotel.

The Army is tapping the Ridley Park plant, the largest industrial employer in the lower Delaware Valley, to upgrade Boeing's CH-47F Chinook heavy-lift helicopter, as well as drones and space sensors.

Bridgenext, a 1,500-person technology consulting firm founded in Radnor, is moving from its Florida headquarters back to a 5,000-square-foot lease at Two Tower Bridge in Conshohocken.

The cold storage provider will expand its 45,000-square-foot facility by an additional 135,000 square feet to support the growing needs of its customers.
