This Dec. 2, join CVS Health, Bank of America, Google, Gap and your local peers and competitors by showcasing how your care about the community. Giving Tuesday now is an established global force for social good. The Philadelphia Foundation can match your business with an effective nonprofit that aligns with your mission, help you make in-kind donations of services or equipment or suggest volunteer opportunities. Fill out the hyperlinked survey, email GivingTuesday@philafound.org, or call 215-863-8130 to get started.
On Dec. 3, the day after Cyber Monday, Philadelphia will be in the forefront of a national movement to inspire giving back through volunteering and through financial support to nonprofits. Your business can and should join in.
Regional efforts are being documented through Generocity.org, and will be shared through social media via #GivingTuesdayPHL. It’s part of a national movement: http://givingtuesday.org.
Among the early adoptor regional participants are restauranteur Steve Poses and Marty Tuzman of Jenkintown Building Services.
Check out the regional tip sheet for businesses and the resources for businesses available on the national site.
You can also join the Philly conversation on LinkedIn: #GivingTuesdayPHL
If your business would like to be invited to a local event at which Giving Tuesday leaders will be lead networking and strategies around the day, email Erin Hower at the National Philanthropic Trust, ehower@nptrust.org.
Nonprofits in the greater Philadelphia area are invited to attend a workshop to learn about The Philadelphia Foundation’s Planned Giving Services for Nonprofit Organizations.
The world of nonprofit development offers many challenges and opportunities. None are as potentially beneficial – or as complex – as planned giving.
The Philadelphia Foundation’s Planned Giving Services are designed to help local organizations attract more sizeable donations and grow their endowments. We provide all the technical and back-office assistance of closing and maintaining a planned gift. Best of all, The Philadelphia Foundation currently offers most of these services at no out-of-pocket expense to the participating nonprofit organizations.
Information sessions will be held May 2, 9, 23, and July 11. For specific times, locations, and registration information, please visit our website.
