The Community Relations Council (CRC) is the center’s ambassador to the community. Members are community and civic leaders who support and promote the center’s programs and community service, volunteering, job shadowing. Offering their availability to tutor, guest present to students, provide referrals for support and/or ideas of successful community commitment, etc. Meetings scheduled quarterly.

Executive officers from the Philadelphia Job Corps Life Science Institute’s Student Government Association joined Red Rock, Keystone, and Pittsburgh Job Corps Centers for the inaugural "Pennsylvania Job Corps Day" on October 16 at the state capitol in Harrisburg, Pa.
The day included a special introduction from the House legislative floor by the House Speaker and State Representative Tina Pickett, who addressed her colleagues about the Job Corps program. House Resolution 470 was then unanimously passed officially designating Oct. 16, 2013, as "Pennsylvania Job Corps Day."
Throughout the visit, SGA students met local state representatives and learned about their humble beginnings and subsequent path to public service. Several other state representatives approached the students, eager to learn more about the Job Corps program. The visit was also an opportunity for the youth to witness officials in action as they watched voting and other resolutions from the House floor.
The SGA president and vice president did a great job representing Philadelphia Job Corps while promoting the potential of other aspiring "at promise" young adults currently enrolled in the program. What a great day for Job Corps!
