The Beech Companies will celebrate its 25-year milestone by hosting an Anniversary Gala event honoring the organizations significant impact and ongoing revitalization efforts in North Central Philadelphia. Proceeds of the Anniversary Gala will benefit the Beech Scholarship Fund and other community outreach and educational activities.

"Jazz on the Ave" is scheduled for Saturday, August 16th from 12-7:30pm at Broad & Cecil B. Moore Avenue (Broad-16th Sts.). This is a free outdoor festival for the entire family, hosted by Patty Jackson, Loraine Ballard Morrill, Cherri Gregg, and Dyana Williams. The event will feature live music by Jeff Bradshaw, Mozaic Flow, Carol Riddick, Serious Mixx, Chris Washburne & Syotos, Marcy Francis, Emmanuel Houndo, Cam Anthony, Clef Club Youth Ensemble, and Diva Dollz. The festival will open with the 2014 Drill Champions, Modern Legends and a performance by Caribbeans In Action.
