One of the region’s most highly-anticipated fundraisers, Home Runs for Heart offers participants a unique opportunity: the chance to step up to home plate of Citizens Bank Park and swing for the seats just like their favorite major league players. Each participant will take 20 swings from home plate, take a turn at fielding, pose for professional souvenir photos, bid on auction items and much more! The team, individual man, woman and youth player with the most home runs and the most points (based on distance) will receive prizes including a custom engraved bat.
Individual slots are $500 and teams of 4, $1,800.

Linda R. Evers, Esq. has been named to the Board of Directors for the Great Rivers Affiliate of the American Heart Association (AHA).
The Great Rivers Affiliate is comprised of the states of Delaware, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. As a member of the Board of Directors, Evers will work alongside other leaders in this region to achieve the American Heart Association’s 2020 impact goal. This goal is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by the year 2020.

The American Heart Association will honor cardiologist Dr. Sanul Corrielus with the Multicultural Leadership Award for his commitment to bringing quality health care to the multicultural communities he serves. He has been an avid supporter of AHA mission and continues to dedicate his time and energy to further the cause as a guest speaker for blood pressure webinars. Dr. Corrielus affirmed his commitment to AHA’s mission by adopting the new blood pressure treatment algorithm into his own practice, which impacted 1,000 multicultural individuals.
