  • Threshold Documentation on all Chemicals is Critical for Facilities to Pass an EPA Inspection on 313 Reporting

Posted on 4/28/2014 by Ms. Lorna Velardi of Environmental Strategy Consultants

Did you know the most significant liability with Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reports is not having thorough documentation. Even if a facility is not subject to TRI reporting, the EPA expects a thorough evaluation of 313 chemicals and why reporting thresholds are not exceeded. If a facility is subject, having comprehensive written documentation on the chemicals NOT reported is just as important as information on the reports filed. Our latest mailer explores why the TRI program is complex. Please contact ESC if your facility needs assistance with your TRI reports, due July 1st.
