On November 5, 2016, the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will debut a brand new endurance event in conjunction with Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center. This revolutionary spinning event will feature a full day of spinning with state-of-the-art stationary bikes, instructors, DJs, music, food, and thousands of people all championing the cause of ‘finding a cure for cancer’. There will be 200-minute spinning sessions on stationary bikes. Each bike will be owned by a team of 5 to 10 spinners, taking turns relaying on and off the bike (a team of 5 may ride for 40 mins each, while a team of 10 rides for 20 minutes each). The goal is to enjoy a great day full of friends, music, fun and food while raising critical funds that will get us closer to finding a cure for cancer. If you spearhead a team of 10, you and your friends will fundraise $200 each towards cancer research – can you imagine what a difference that will make? JOIN THE REVOLUTION!

We stand at a defining moment in our ability to conquer cancer, in a new era of research and patient care based on genetics and personalized medicine. This explosion of new knowledge and technological advances offers major improvements in early detection, treatment and prevention, which are saving more lives. However, many challenges remain before our goal to prevent and cure all cancers.
While patients are poised to benefit from a vast understanding of science and medicine, domestic spending cuts could risk further progress. The American Association for Cancer Research is standing strong to ensure cancer research will not be threatened.
Your gift will help the AACR maximize its impact. With your generous support we will continue to accelerate progress that saves lives, bringing benefits of spectacular science and groundbreaking research to patients now and in the future. Please support cancer research by sending your gift today. With your help, together we will defeat cancer.
