All proceeds from this event supports the education, counseling, therapy and referral services that CORA Services provides to help children, youth and families experiencing emotional, academic and social challenges in Philadelphia.

    We are delighted to announce that Walt D'Alessio, Principal of Northmarq Advisors, and Council President Darrell Clarke will be honored at this year's event. In addition, CORA will be presenting a scholarship for a teacher-nominated high school student for their achievement inside and outside of the classroom.

    Heroes Among Us 2013 event benefiting the FOP Survivors Fund will take place at Pyramid Club (1735 Market St., Philadelphia, PA) on Tuesday, October 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Pyramid Club will host the event that will raise money to support families of the FOP Survivors Fund. David L. Cohen will be receiving the Community Hero Award for his significant contributions, extraordinary leadership and commitment to helping the community. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour followed by a dinner reception, which includes the presentation of the Community Hero Award. Tickets are $95 for just the cocktail hour and $300 for the cocktail hour and dinner reception.

    The Bacon Brothers return to their hometown Philadelphia to help save the Mummers. On December 5th, the Bacon Brothers will perform a benefit concert at The Electric Factory at 8:00pm.
